  • How long is the service life of the rotor inside the rotary dehumidifier?

    1. The lifespan of the wheel General lifespan:
    Under normal use and maintenance, the lifespan of the wheel is usually 5 to 10 years.
    Influencing factors:
    ● Operating environment: In high temperature, high humidity, or heavily polluted environments, the wheel may age faster.
     
    ● Operating frequency: Continuous high-intensity operation will shorten the lifespan of the wheel.
     
    ● Maintenance: Regular cleaning and maintenance can significantly extend the lifespan of the wheel.
     
    2. Performance of wheel aging:
    When the wheel approaches its service life, the following phenomena may occur:
    ● Decreased dehumidification efficiency: The moisture absorption capacity of the impeller weakens, and the dehumidification effect deteriorates.
     
    ● Increased energy consumption: Due to the decreased moisture absorption performance of the impeller, the equipment needs to operate for a longer period of time to achieve the target humidity, resulting in an increase in energy consumption.
     
    ● Odor or pollution: The impeller may adsorb pollutants in the air and may produce odor after long-term use.
     
    3. Methods to extend the service life of the wheel:
    ● Regular cleaning:
    Check and clean the wheel every 3-6 months to avoid the accumulation of dust and pollutants.
     
    ● Replace the filter screen:
    Regularly replace or clean the air filter to prevent dust from entering the impeller.
     
    ● Avoid high temperature and high humidity environments:
    When used in extreme environments, maintenance needs to be strengthened.
     
    ● Reasonable operation:
    Avoid prolonged overload operation and take appropriate breaks by stopping the machine.
     
    4.  Wheel replacement:
    ● Replacement timing:
    When the dehumidification efficiency of the impeller significantly decreases or irreparable damage occurs, the impeller needs to be replaced.
     
    ● Replacement cost:
    The impeller is the core component of the impeller dehumidifier, and the replacement cost is relatively high, usually accounting for 20% -40% of the total equipment cost.

    5.  The lifespan of wheels made of different materials:
    ● Silicone Wheel:
    The lifespan is generally 5-8 years, suitable for conventional industrial environments.
     
    ● Molecular sieve impeller:
    The lifespan is generally 8-10 years, suitable for environments with extremely high humidity requirements (such as lithium battery production).

  • Applicable Temperature Range for Rotary Dehumidifiers:

    Rotary dehumidifiers can operate efficiently even in low-temperature environments, making them ideal for places such as cold storage facilities and low-temperature workshops.  
     
    Normal-Temperature Environments: 10℃ to 35℃
    In normal-temperature environments, rotary dehumidifiers also perform well and are suitable for general industrial, commercial, and residential applications.  
     
    High-Temperature Environments: 35℃ to 40℃:
    Rotary dehumidifiers can still operate in high-temperature environments, although their efficiency may slightly decrease. The specific model and usage conditions should be considered when selecting a unit for such environments.
  • What is the difference between rotary dehumidifiers and compression dehumidifiers?

    Rotary dehumidifier:
    Adsorb moisture from the air through a moisture absorbing wheel (usually made of silicone or molecular sieve material). After the humid air passes through the impeller, the moisture is adsorbed and the dry air is discharged. The wheel then passes through the heating regeneration zone, releasing the adsorbed moisture and restoring its moisture absorption capacity.  
     
    Compression dehumidifier:
    The refrigerant is compressed by a compressor to cool the air below the dew point, and the water vapor condenses into water and is discharged. The dry air is then reheated and discharged.
